Six Day Virtual Series Round 3 Preview

24th February 2021

It’s the final round of the Six Day Virtual Series and there is still so much racing to left to watch! The competition remains wide open and the significance of the final race in each category should not be underestimated. All points accumulated during the Final will be added directly to a rider’s overall classification points, meaning there’s still plenty of room for surprises in the final standings!

If you would like to re-watch any of our episodes from each day of Round 2, you can catch up by clicking the link here – Six Day Virtual Series Round 2.

In the Men’s classification, Sebastian Schmiedel holds a six and eight point advantage over Stephen Bradbury and Marc Hester respectively. A win for either of the two chasing riders would put them right back in contention for the overall classification victory.

For the first time this Series, Amalie Winther Olsen showed signs of tiredness towards the end of Round 2, finishing in 4thplace in the Elimination Race. The other riders in the field will be hoping to capitalise on this and push themselves into contention with some strong performances on the final weekend.

Tomáš Bábek has repeatedly shown his strength and racing nous to clinch some last-minute victories in both the match sprints and keirins through the competition. The Czech rider will not be able to rest on his laurels as young German, Anton Höhne is just six points away in 2nd place.

Make sure you don’t miss your favourite riders by taking a look at the race schedule below. All races will be shown at 13:00 GMT each day.
